With a beautiful campus, Ivy League prestige, and a painfully low acceptance rate (currently around 10%), Dartmouth College sets the bar high for prospective students. You're going to need an impressive academic record, high sat scores or act scores, and meaningful extracurricular involvement to get in.

Make sure you get to know Dartmouth before applying. If you love the bustling urban campuses of Columbia or Penn, then Dartmouth's location in the small picturesque New Hampshire town of Hanover may not be for you. Also, as the smallest of the Ivy League schools, Dartmouth feels more like a liberal arts college than many of its large university brethren.
