Charlotte area to get second Gander Mountain store

Gander Mountain Co. will build a 43,000-square-foot outdoors supply store in Gastonia, the second in the Charlotte region for the St. Paul, Minn., retailer.
Its first opened in 2006 in Mooresville. Gander Mountain has four other N.C. stores: Fayetteville, Greensboro and most recently Morrisville and Winston-Salem.
The Gastonia store will be built in Franklin Square Shopping Center, near the Cox Road interchange of Interstate 85. It should open in spring 2013, the company says.
