The “Guardians” failed to rise over the weekend, ending up as Thanksgiving’s biggest – and most expensive – turkey of all.
“Rise of the Guardians” brought in a meager $32.6 million – one of the worst debuts in recent history for a DreamWorks Animation film – in spite of the fact that the box office shattered Thanksgiving weekend records.
DreamWorks Animation spent $145 million to produce and another estimated $80 million publicizing the CG-animation film, according to The Wrap.
