How New Technologies Are Challenging the Ad Industry Status Quo

They say that advertising isn’t exact science and most of the times you need to be patient and hope for the best. This is obviously something that advertising companies would like their clients to believe indefinitely. Until recently, it was difficult to quantify results and a trial and error process was regarded as acceptable in most cases. Once again, technology came to the rescue and data science changed the way the game is played in this industry.
Today it is much easier for clients to estimate the success of their ongoing promotions and they can make educated decisions. An ample program will require just as much involvement and time spent on advertising, but at least results are easier to quantify. If something doesn’t work according to the plan, at least you know why and can make the necessary changes. The wheels are set in motion and data driven creativity is changing advertising faster than anyone could’ve predicted a couple of years ago.
