New 7,000-square-foot French bistro opens across from Bottega Louie

A new 7,000-square-foot bar and restaurant dubbed Coco Laurent has opened in Downtown on the corner of 7th Street and Grand Avenue. This eatery could be the French counterpoint to the upscale Italian restaurant and bakery, Bottega Louie, right across the street. Although Coco Laurent's official website still only says "Coming Soon" on the landing page, the restaurant did open today and will hold normal business hours from now on. According to the restaurant's Yelp page, hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. According to a press release: "The restaurant and bar accommodates up to 300 guests and will be open from brunch to late-night dining and will offer a notable wine l...
