NFL will not suspend Ndamukong Suh for his kick to Matt Schaub’s groin

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will not be suspended for what appeared to be a deliberate kick to the groin of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub during last Thursday's 34-31 overtime win by the Texans.
"Our office has notified the Lions that N Suh will not be suspended for last Thursday's incident. It will be reviewed for a potential fine," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced on Twitter.
According to the NFL Fine Schedule, a first offense for "striking, kicking or kneeing" would result in a fine of $7,875. In the first year of the collective bargaining agreement, such fines were $7,500, but all fines increase by 5 percent in each year of the agreement, thus the peculiar "$7,875" figure. A second offense for "striking, kicking or kneeing" an opponent would result in a fine of $15,750, which would be around half of Suh's $31,765 weekly game check.
