The Oil and Gas industry is very much capital intensive, which means that their debt levels need to be at suitable level to be approved by credit rating agencies to purchase new equipment. However, a company must be able to manage debt levels effectively with equity levels to maintain future growth. By analysing Petrochina’s (NYSE:PTR) Debt to Assets levels and making a comparative judgment based on competing O&amp;G firms, we can establish whether PTR has utilised debt and equity productively. Fig 1 illustrates PTR’s Total Debt, Total Asset and Debt-to-Asset ratio figures.]]></description>
