Vikings DE Jared Allen destroys Bears G Lance Louis (GIF)

These are the types of hits that the NFL is trying to get removed from the game.  Louis had no idea that Allen was there and Allen launched himself at Louis, trying to blow him up.  Leaving his feet for this block is not only unnecessary but extremely dirty.  Had Allen not left his feet, I would be okay with this hit, but the fact that he targets Louis’ head is a huge problem for me.  People will say that it’s not dirty and it’s just football, but targeting someone’s head for a hit is not football, it’s dirty.  Allen could have made that block by putting his shoulder square between Louis’ chest and knocked him down just as easily.To make matters worse Louis tore his ACL on this play and is now out for the year.LM: Bad news for #Bears: Guard Lance Louis placed on injured reserve after suffering knee injury Sunday vs. Vikings when hit by Jared Allen.— Chicago Bears (@Chi...
